Young Women In Leadership: Reflection and Practice

To celebrate the theme for International Women's Day 2021: Women Leadership, Women in IoT is honored to have Irene Hwang, Product Director at Migo, share her leadership journey at Migo over the last 6 years.

She will share her experience of how she leads a cross-border team of 23 people across design, research, data, and engineering and reflections of often being the youngest person at the table.

Speaker Bio:

Irene Hwang - Product Director

Irene is the Product Director at Migo who leads the design, research, engineering, and data functions to deliver entertainment and education to mass-market consumers. She is a mechanical engineer by training from Olin College of Engineering in the U.S., which is a pioneering, experimental school focused on interdisciplinary, hands-on education, but found her passion in UX and service design for the underserved. She has been a part of several social ventures, including the R&D team for a social venture in Ghana focused on improving the lives of female, small-scale agricultural businesses and BioLite, a company that develops off-grid energy products for both the outdoor recreational industry and emerging markets.

Peso Cheng - Supply Chain Manager

Peso possesses 9+ years of experience managing supply chain strategies, manufacturing processes and operations for top-tier MNC clients and brand companies with a passion for technology. Currently, she takes the ownership to provide strategic direction for the global supply chain in Migo, engaging with multiple stakeholders and regional teams to satisfy the demanding needs of a high-growth industry impacting emerging markets.
