🎯 Pay Equality Panel Discussion:

A study of MBA graduates shows that the starting salary of male graduates is on average 7.6% higher than that of female graduates. But this study does not indicate that men are more capable than women. Instead, it shows if they enter the stage of negotiation.  The survey also demonstrated that half of the male graduates will negotiate wages in their first job, but only one in eight female graduates will do so, while almost 90% of women give up negotiations.

Based on the research, women are afraid of negotiating their salary. Asian women especially are more constrained because of the conservative culture of families and society. They are not only worried about negotiating wages. Asking for a raise is even a challenging task! In this session, Chiang will share her salary negotiation skills. Last but not least, we will also further discuss why workplace diversity can bring benefits to companies.

She believes that artificial intelligence will be more complete with women's participation.

🎯 Organizer:

Women in IoT

Women in IoT hopes to gather all of the women who work in various semiconductor companies, OEM, system solution providers, IoT-related technology industries in Taiwan and around the world to have a community where they can exchange ideas, stimulate creativity, and discuss workplace equality as well as entrepreneurial topics. There are many women in Taiwan who play important roles in the science and technology industry.  They are the PMs or engineers, coordinating and dealing with problems in multiple companies. But they often forget how unique they are.  Therefore, Women in IoT hopes to serve as a community where they can promote their projects, motivate each other or gather entrepreneurial resources.
